Day 78, 100% Fruitarian

Tuesday, Day 78, 100% Fruitarian. i ate very well today. i learned also that when it comes to my own body, i still have alot to learn. A few days ago i posted a reaction i had from an avocado i had eaten. i thought that, because of how it was heavy on my stomach, that i would probably end up not using them as much in the future. Then came the situation where we found ourselves with more avocado then we anticipated. Being that i am one who thinks it nearly sacriligious to waste any fruit, found myself having one per day over the last three days. No issues, heaviness or other ill feelings to report. So how much i know...lol.

My meals today were as follows.

Breakfast:
1.5 watermelons.

Lunch:
Delicious neutral fruity salad with pineapple and papaya along with non-sweet fruits tomato, cucumber, celery and raisins. i made a sauce from pineapple and mango that was outstanding. It was so rich and creamy that i used it as a soup (i put red pepper in it) as it was a cold day. i added an avocado and a plantain to it ......totally Delicious.

Dinner:
3 honey tangerines, 2 navel oranges.

3 sets of pushups......thats all i have had time for recently.

How Grace Helps in Diet

Grace is very important to the Christian. The Bible says in Ephesians 2:8

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

So we need Grace even to be saved as a Christian. But this tells us very little about exactly what Grace is. What this verse does say, though, is that Grace is a gift. A gift is something that cannot be earned. This is what makes it a gift. So we know Grace is a gift from Christ.

Ok, but what IS Grace? The bible gives us the answers.

Romans 5:10 (Speaking of Christ) says,

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

So, if we are saved by Grace and we are saved by the life of Christ....then

Grace=Life of Christ.

So the very life of Christ Himself is grace. How does that help me? The Apostle Paul experienced how and in many places in the bible the Holy Spirit used his words to explain.

Galatians 1:15,16

15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, 16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

Here Grace is shown to have a purpose. To reveal Christ in the receiver of it. So the power for the believer to live a life of righteousness comes from Christ. This would include the area of diet.

1Thess 5:23

23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are to be preserved blameless. This we of ourselves have no power to do. Most Christians understand they cannot save themselves. But for some reason when it comes to the area of diet, they start to think "i can take if from here".......of course this is a fallacy. Even if a person appeared to be successful in their dietary pursuits without the Grace of Christ, the glory would go to the person and not to Christ.

The True Christian wants the glory to go to Christ always. Our Saviour has limitless Power. In fact......He IS Power. If we trust Him to forgive us all our sins and cast them away as the prophet Micah says: (Micah 7:19)

19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

Then why don't we trust Christ to give us grace to overcome in the area of diet? Perhaps its ignorance, perhaps its pride or something else. But with all the power of the universe available, it seems reasonable to tap into it.

So many are dying for lack of knowledge of Christ. The knowledge could be given by an example of a victorious Life more than any sermon. Grace allows that to happen.

Here are a couple more verses:

Jude 24

24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

Titus 2:11,12

11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

John 15:3

5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Friend, you have tried to eat right, but you keep falling. You are hooked on things that you know are not good for you nor bring glory to the Lord. Tell Christ your sin, let Him know how weak you are, He loves you and has abundant Grace available for you. He will keep you as He promised. You are guaranteed success so long as you come to Him and do not give up. One more verse......

John 6:37

37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

Don't stop coming and you will never be cast out!!

Grace and peace be multiplied.
