Thursday, March 11, 2010.....Day 54

Day 54 of the Fruit Feast. i had a tremendous pain in my gums all night. It started early in the evening and when on until about 5am. i refused to take any pain medications so i kept washing my mouth out with warm water and brushing my teeth. i felt the nerve endings in my gums throbbing all night. Very painful. It died down before the sunrise. i believe it had to do with detox and dates. i love dates, but i cannot eat them straight on in too much a quantity. When i do eat them i must brush my teeth right after. i must also mention that i had this pain on day 53 of the Fruit Feast also so that this was my second night like this. The pain was so bad on Wednesday that at about 6pm i just lay down and curled up. i prayed for it to go away and when it did not cease immediately i realized i was to learn something from the experience. Well so far i have learned a couple of things. One, detox can be painful, but i know its well worth it and i don't want to put things in my soul Temple that will needs cause detox problems later. This means i may be Fruitarian for life. Second, i must brush my teeth alittle more often at least at this stage of the diet so as the resin from the fruit does not stay on my gums. Third, i must be careful with dates. They have always caused some discomfort when i eat too many of them (although never quite like this). i usually have no trouble when i blend them with other things as sweeteners, but when i eat them straight on i am asking for trouble. i hope that somewhere down the line my body is clean enough so i can enjoy them freely with no issues. i love this journey for i am hungry for Righteousness and growth in Christ.

Proverbs 27:7 The full soul loatheth an honeycomb; but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.

Even with almost no sleep i felt tremendous energy in my body today. i had a very satisfying worktout (the best one this week). i didn't eat much as i still had some gum soreness, but i wasn't very hungry anways. Well, we go Forward!
