Day 158, 100% Raw Fruitarian

Friday, Day 158, 100% Raw fruitarian. i had a nagging cough today. But i felt much better than at any time this week. i didn't have quite the appetite i normally would have though. This is reflected in my consumption. i try not to spend too much time analyzing these things, but rather just flow with them. i had a very good workout at the park this morning. i found a bar about eye-level where i was able to do some muscle ups. They are not really muscle ups because the bar was low, so i called them baby muscle ups. i had been attempting them all week with little success. But today i was able to do 7 sets of them. One more step towards my goal of doing regular muscle ups. It was a beautiful day today. i'd say the most beautiful of the year so far. Sunny and bright, no morning chill. Comfortably warm. i am really enjoying exercising in the open air. i am also thanking the Lord for the victory He is giving me over my salt addiction. That has taken alot of prayer. i am not completely convinced that i should do away with it forever. But i will deal with that in mid-December on my one year anniversary. For now, its out of my life. Here are today's meals:

Breakfast:
Half a watermelon, 2 bananas, 2 mangos. (1157 calories)

Lunch:
Zucchini spaghetti, with tomato and avocado. (417 calories)

Dinner:
4 mangos, 2 navel oranges. (675 calories)

Exercise:
300 pushups, 7 sets of baby muscle ups (5-7 per set). 30 minutes.

Have a safe and wonderful weekend! Honor to those who died serving my country, may they rest in Peace.

Day 157, 100% Raw Fruitarian

Thursday, Day 157, 100% Raw Fruitarian. The days seem to be flying by fast. i have missed a couple of days worth of posts. i have had some detox episodes. Yesterday i awoke with a sore throat and i felt weak. i did work out in the park yesterday morning, but the volume was much less. i also had a sore in my mouth, to me, that confirmed detox. Today i felt alittle better but still not at 100%. i am glad for the detox because i know with each episode my body is ridding itself of toxins it has been holding for many years. i am convinced that, besides a water fast, the all-fruit diet is the most cleansing one i have ever experienced. Here is today's menu:

Breakfast:
2 bananas (prior to going to the park), half a watermelon and 2 mangos upon returning. (1157 calories)

Lunch:
Non-sweet fruity salad with 2 avocados, 2 mangos. (1147 calories).

Dinner:
2 bananas, 16oz of OJ with alittle cantaloupe juice in it also. (503 calories).

Exercise:
Outdoors today. 35 chins, 35 pull-ups, 80 dips, 30 pushups......30 minutes.

Day 154, 100% Raw Fruitarian

Monday, Day 154, 100% Raw Fruitarian. Now that the weather is nicer, i would like to try and exercise outside more. The Creator has given us air and sunshine for our good. So today, my wife and i walked to the park (its alittle more than half a mile from our house). She continued walking a two mile trek while i spent about half an hour doing body weight exercise. i felt alittle weak but it was all good. i also had quite a feast today as i ate two whole durians. They were monthong that had a golden color to them. They were small (about 5lbs each) but they were both very creamy and sweet. i also had some of the most delicious mango i've had yet. i did discover something about myself though, i cannot eat durian with avocado. That kept me off my feet for about two hours today. Didn't sit well in my stomach at all. But after about two hours i was fine again. i am not needing deodorant again, now my wife is sniffing for herself to make sure.....LOL. i had not told her prior to last week so she didn't know. Here are today's meals and activities.

Breakfast:
One Durian, 2 mangos (1154 calories)

Lunch:
Another Durian, one avocado, half a watermelon (1716 calories)

Dinner:
16oz of OJ, 2 mangos (492 calories)

Exercise:
35 chins, 35 pullups, 60 pushups, 60 one leg squats, 4 dips.....30 minutes.

Day 151, 100% Raw Fruitarian.

Friday, Day 151, 100% Raw Fruitarian. Very good day today. My dad offered and gave me some financial assistance. i only started talking to him about 2 weeks ago after over 5 years! Just for some perspective, my home was several months behind on the mortgage and facing foreclosure. Bank people taking pictures in preparation, knocking on my door and warning me. Last week while i was in a parking lot a 300lb+ man opened my car door and attempted to pull me out of the car and take my keys. It was a repo man, he wasn't successful. It hasn't been exactly a fun year, but i know there are people in much worse situations. Like having lost their job and their home. So i am thankful for where i am. These were a few of the challenges i have been facing this year. Today, my dad (Lord bless him) called me to let me know he took care of all of it. What a wonderful God i serve! i also had a terrific workout this morning. Wednesday i focused on pull-ups and legs, today it was chin-ups and pushups. Its like i am discovering bodyweight exercise for the first time, although i have done it for years (on and off). i ate very well today. Here are today's meals and activities..

Breakfast:
Half a watermelon, one mango, one avocado (1101 calories)

Snack:
Large slice of watermelon, one banana...(277 calories)

Lunch:
Non-sweet fruity salad with two large tomatoes, two large english cuke, one avocado, one very large banana, one mango.....half a box of Durian. (1082 calories)

Dinner:
2 valencia oranges, 3 mangos (522 calories).

Exercise: set the clock for 30 minutes. did 110 chinups and 200 pushups. Excellent workout.

Have a wonderful Weekend!!

Day 150, 100% Raw Fruitarian

Thursday, Day 150, 100% Raw Fruitarian. Well, today marks 5 months as a fruitarian. At this point, i am really feeling fantastic. i think i am definitely approaching the best shape of my life. The best shape of my life was probably when i was about 21. i am not quite there yet, but i am rapidly approaching it for sure. i also have noticed one strange situation. For about the last three weeks, i have not had to use deodorant. No funky smell was eminating from my armpits. Until last weekend. i was feeling a detox episode as i was alittle tired, a cold sore showed on my lip and suddenly, i was very funky. It got so bad i had to reach for the deodorant so as not to offend. The strange thing was, it was not because of exercise, i was just sitting by the computer when it just started coming out. i know it was a detox thing. My weight these days is in the high 170's. My wife keeps mentioning how i am disappearing, i just tell her to relax...lol. i feel very energetic. i was so sore today. My back muscles and leg muscles from yesterday's workout. It was great. i love that feeling because i know i reached the muscles very well. Being careful not to injure myself and suffer a setback, i rested today. My food was low so my caloric intake was about half what it should be. But thats alright as i will be getting a good haul tomorrow by God's Grace.

Today's menu was:

Breakfast:
Half a watermelon, one mango (812 calories)

Lunch:
Non-sweet salad with 2 tomatoes, 2 cukes, one avocado, one mango (556 calories)

Dinner:
one medium sized red tomato (22 calories)

Exercise: none

Day 149, 100% Raw Fruitarian

Wednesday, Day 149, 100% Raw Fruitarian. i had a tremendous workout today. i decided to do sets of 5 reps of just pullups (will do chins tomorrow) combined with one legged squats. Really good workout. i ended up doing 20 sets each in the 30 minutes i set on the timer. What excited me was, for the first time i pulled up high enough to hit my head on the basement ceiling. This shows me that my strength is increasing (it didn't hurt my head, its too hard.....LOL). i really want to be able to do the muscle ups so i know i am making progress towards that end. i was able to get 6 mangos and two avocados (total cost $5). So today was a mango type of day, which of course, i do not mind at all. Mango and durian are at the top of my favorite foods list. The quality at the stores are improving as it gets warmer. Just that thought brings a smile to my face.

Today's meals and activities went like this:

Breakfast:
one half of a large watermelon, 2 mangos (947 calories)

Lunch:
Non-sweet fruity salad with avocado, 2 large tomatoes, one large cuke, one mango with curry, basil and cayenne. (523 calories)

Dinner:
2 mangos, one avocado (558 calories).

Exercise: Set the clock for 30 minutes. Did 100 pullups and 100 one leg squats.

Day 148, 100% Raw Fruitarian

Tuesday, Day 148, 100% Raw Fruitarian. Seems like my life is on spin cycle. Everything is going crazy and happening fast. Communicating with my parents, mortgage and car note issues, detox and cravings for cooked....all at the same time. Its crazy. Yet i am strangely calm and cool. Grace is a wonderful thing indeed. Then above all this, yesterday i had a meeting with a major prospect. It went very, very well. This deal, if completed would help me more than alot. The toughest thing about this is remaining calm and not blowing it. So far, so good. i feel like things may be turning around, but i still am guarded. But definitely optimistic. We have a good amount of cooked foodstuffs, but the raw reserves are dwindling fast. So today's intake is lighter than normal, but i thank my Father for what i was able to eat. Also, since i am not making sauces these days my caloric intake for the non-sweet salads are greatly reduced.

i also had a pretty good workout this morning. i did my workout in the kitchen because the counter-top provides a good dipping station, the best in the house. i alternated between sets of dips and sets of pushups with my hands at hip level and one leg extended up for abs. Good workout. Those pushups are in preparation for what i hope will become planche pushups. They were tougher then the basic pushups. Here were today's activities.

Breakfast:
A little less than half a watermelon, one mango (677 calories)

Lunch:
Non-sweet fruity salad with one large tomato, 5 roma tomatoes, one large english cucumber, one mango, one avocado, two medium bananas, topped with basil, curry and cayenne. (790 calories)

Dinner:
2 navel oranges, 2 bananas, one mango (482 calories).

Exercise:
set the clock for 30 minutes. Only worked out for 25 minutes as my pecs and arms were wiped out. Did 10 sets of dips (122 total) and 10 sets of pushups with hands at hip level. (105 total).
